Dawn Almblad, Paralegal
Dawn Almblad, RP®, OCP has more than 10 years’ experience working for attorney Adam Dean. This includes assisting in preparing cases for trial in Oregon and Washington state circuit and appellate courts. This also includes assisting with federal cases in the U.S. District Court for Oregon, the Western District of Washington, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Dawn also manages the firms finances and office suite. Dawn has a strong accounting background spanning over 20 years, which is particularly helpful in defending criminal cases alleging tax evasion, theft or fraud and divorce cases where income, expenses, assets and liabilities are often in dispute.
Athletics are extremely important to Dawn. She is a former professional aggressive inline skater and instructor, competing early on in the life of the sport in both street and vert events, in Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Washington and California. She taught inline skating as a volunteer at the indoor skate park in Eugene, Oregon, encouraging as many girls as she could find to take part. She earned a 2nd place title at the National Inline Skate Series halfpipe event in San Francisco in 1996 and a 1st place title at the National Inline Skate Series halfpipe event in Portland, Oregon in 1997. She retired from skating in 1999 and began running shortly thereafter. Dawn ran the Portland marathon in 2011 and 2014 and has participated in over 60 road races and several duathlons.
